By default, EMDB entry maps are shown as isosurfaces. If there is an associated PDB it will be shown superimposed with the map. Maps are generally downsampled (max size: 0.52M voxels, map source: maps.rcsb.org).

The viewer menu at top right provides many different options and submenus.

The window icon enables toggling between regular and full window display.

Initially the map is shown at author recommended contour level as long as the value is in the range 0.5-10 σ (standard deviation units). Otherwise it is shown with a default threshold value. To adjust the map display, click on the wrench icon. Then:

• Click on "..." to the right of Isosurface (lower right menu item)
• Click on "..." to the right of Type to adjust opacity, isosurface type (relative or absolute), and/or the isosurface contour value (slider adjustment)
• Click on "..." to the right of Color Theme to adjust map color

To restore the original view, click on the wrench icon again.
